Description
For the Fort Collins collaboration brewed at Funkwerks, Peter Bouchaert of New Belgium Brewing Company and Bill Beymer of Odell Brewing Company along with Gordon Schuck of Funkwerks decided to brew a traditional French Biere de Garde. To throw a wrinkle in the recipe, Peter decided we should add Belgian Endive to the mix, both in the mash and the boil. The resulting beer is a clean malty farmhouse ale with a subtle earthiness.
