Description
Gose (pronounced “go-suh”) is a sour wheat ale that dates back over 1,000 years to Goslar, Germany. Our Black Cherry Gose starts as a kettle sour, meaning we inoculate it with lactobacillus bacteria after mashing and wort run-off but before racking to the fermenter. We use sea salt to mimic the slightly salty water from the Gose River in Germany. Finally, we put a cherry on top, literally, with a generous cherry addition that lends a bright, ripe cherry flavor and aroma that perfectly complements the tartness of the base beer. Fruity, tart, salty and sweet…what more could you want?
