Mission

Dan Selis likes to think big. As the owner and founder of Mission Brewery, he has taken his beermaking operation from the tiny, cramped spaces of his kitchen and garage, to a small pub in La Jolla, to a modest brewery in Chula Vista, and finally to its present location in the historic Wonder Bread Building in downtown San Diego. His newest venue is far from a homemade garage set-up. Mission now occupies more than 14,000 square feet, and has the capacity to produce 10,000-plus barrels a year. The new space also has a gorgeous tasting room that can accommodate up to 400 people.
