Re-imagined from the world’s oldest alcoholic beverage, Annapurna creates innovative and refreshing honey meads for the modern drinker. The world of craft beer and cider has gone crazy. We love all of the varied flavors and styles out there but realized that the world’s oldest alcohol was missing its day in the sun. Given that we believe honey is nature’s gold standard and that the life of bees represents the greatest environmental net positive in existence, we began our journey to find mead styles that would appeal to today’s modern palate and modern drinker. As of 2018, there are approximately 450 meaderies across the United States. Of those meaderies, only a very small portion are offering drier, lower alcohol, refreshing meads in our style. So we are indeed on the forefront of the new age of mead. As lovers of world travel, fine food, nature and human growth, Annapurna Mead is our homage to the highest peaks we have climbed both internally and externally.
