Description
Our Double IPA contradicts the idea that there can be too much of a good thing, at least in the case of hops. We use nearly 70 lbs of Amarillo, Citra and Centennial hops (over 6 lbs per barrel), and we add the majority of those hops in the whirlpool or dry hop, lending an intense and complex hop flavor and aroma without an overpowering bitterness. The moderate malt backbone helps support the massive hop character, lending just a touch of sweetness to balance the bitterness. Not a beer for the faint of heart, but one that is sure to satiate even the most extreme hopheads.
