Description
Gose (pronounced “go-suh”) is a sour wheat ale that dates back over 1,000 years to Goslar, Germany. Our Gose is brewed as a kettle sour, meaning we inoculate it with lactobacillus bacteria after mashing and wort run-off but before boiling and transferring to the fermenter. We use sea salt to mimic the slightly salty water from the Gose River in Germany, in addition to coarse ground coriander. The sea salt and coriander complement the bright, zesty tartness of the lactic acid. Dry, crisp, tart, salty, and complex, yet extremely drinkable, Gose is a unique beer that seems to pair perfectly with summer!
