Berliner Weissbier | 5.7% ABV

Description

Leuven was produced similar to a Berliner weisse. After running the wort off into theĀ kettle, we fermented with lactobacillus overnight before boiling. We then added Saison yeast and Brett. C. to the fermentor. The result is a refreshingly tart saison with a mass- ive citrusy pineapple aroma with hints of apple and clove. The flavor is noticeable tart without being overly sour. More pineapple and citrus fruit flavor give way to a bit of earthy wet hay in the finish.
