Description

For its 25th Anniversary, New Belgium crisscrossed the country to crack open bottles of Fat Tire with brewing friends, and then they cracked open bags of malts and hops to design their own commemorative spin on the old favorite.
Who wants the funk? Fat Tire wants the funk. Our New England friends at Allagash brought it, taking Fat Tire back to its Belgian roots with a De Dolle house Belgian yeast strain that adds classic pear, banana and spice to Fat Tire’s malty goodness. They then bottle-conditioned the beer with Brettanomyces Allagagensis for a spicy finish. Get your funk on.

VISUAL

Orange hue with a heavy sheen, creamy white foam, and sticky lacing.

AROMA

Peppery, spicy, bubble gum scents up front with subtle fruity undertones. Some grainy maltiness, herbal hops, and funky brett characteristics.

FLAVOR

Mild sweetness with a touch of sourness, and a light bitterness that slowly builds.

BODY

Medium body, slightly creamy with a dry finish
